Spicy Tofu Sticks Recipe

Ingredients :



3 cloves

1 1/2 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

1 tablespoon

1/4 teaspoon

Tofu sticks

Green pepper (capsicum)


Hot bean paste

Soy sauce


Sesame oil

Method :
  • Soften tofu sticks in cold water for 2 hours.

  • Cut into 3 cm pieces.

  • Remove skin from garlic and then chop finely.

  • Halve green pepper, remove stem and seeds, then cut into 2 cm squares.

  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok.

  • Stir-fry chopped garlic until fragrant.

  • Add hot bean paste.

  • Add tofu stick, soy sauce, sugar and 1/2 cup water.

  • Cover with a lid.

  • Braise over low heat for 10 minutes.

  • When stock is absorbed, add green pepper.

  • Stir-fry until green pepper is cooked.

  • Sprinkle with sesame oil for serving.

Note : If you need to use tofu sticks in a hurry, place it in hot water and bring to a boil. Switch off the heat and continue to soak in the hot water. Use when it is soft.
