Tofu Balls Recipe

Tofu Balls Recipe

Ingredients :

Vegetable oil

Garlic, crushed

Large onion, finely chopped

Large carrot, grated

Green capsicum (pepper) chopped

Dried basil

Ground fennel

Dried oregano

Large eggs

Bread crumbs

Walnuts, very finely chopped

Fresh parsley

Dijon mustard

Sesame oil

Light soy sauce

Tofu cakes (firm)

Black pepper to taste

Method :
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350o F
  2. Sauté the garlic, onion, carrot, pepper, basil  fennel and oregano in the oil for 12 minutes or until tender.
  3. Use a large bowl and beat the eggs before adding all the other ingredients except the tofu into it.
  4. Mash the tofu and add it to the other ingredients.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Form the mixture into 1 1/2 inch balls.
  7. Spread on a greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350oF or until golden brown.
