Sweet Mango Chutney Recipe

Large green mangoes

Red chilies, chopped finely

Garam masala

Raw sugar

White vinegar

Fresh ginger, finely grated

Dates, finely chopped

Method :
  • Peel the green mangoes, remove the stones, chop into large slices and sprinkle with salt.

  • Blend the garam masala with the raw sugar and place in a large pan with white vinegar. Bring to the boil.

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Add mango, chili, ginger and dates.

  • Simmer for 1 hour or until the mango is tender.

  • Pour into warm sterilized jars and seal.

  • Store in the refrigerator.
