Shrimp Sambol Recipe

Ingredients :

1 small onion, chopped finely

4 fresh red chilies, chopped finely

1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon turmeric, ground

3 tablespoons dried shrimps

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 cups freshly grated coconut


Method :

Heat up a saucepan. Add in all the ingredients except grated coconut. Cook with a lid until the onions are softened. Add the freshly grated coconut and toss, uncovered until the coconut absorbs all the liquid. Add extra salt and lemon to taste if required. Serve with steamed white rice and meat curries.
