Ground turmeric
Small onion, finely chopped
Fresh green chilies, seeded and sliced
Curry leaves
Roasted ground coriander
Roasted ground cumin
Pounded dried shrimps

Chili powder, optional

Method :

Wash okra,
cut off tops, then slice diagonally into bite-size lengths.

Rub with
ground turmeric.

Heat oil in a
small frying pan and deep fry the beans until lightly browned. Drain.

Put all the
other ingredients into a saucepan and simmer, uncovered until onions are
cooked, about 10 minutes.

Add the fried
okra, simmer until tender and remove from heat.

Serve with
rice.
