Turkey with Petai Curry Recipe

Ingredients :

Turkey drumsticks, boned and cubed

Carrot, cut into wedges

Potatoes, cut into wedges

Petai seeds

Coconut milk

Plain yoghurt

Cooking oil





Piece ginger

Meat curry powder

Chili paste

Piece galangal



Lemon grass, lightly smashed

Star anise


Cardamoms, split and use seeds only

Piece cinnamon stick

Curry leaves



Salt or to taste


Chicken stock granules

Method :
  • Heat the oil in a wok and fry spices (A) and (B) until fragrant.

  • Add turkey meat and fry for 4 minutes or until the meat changes its color.

  • Add carrot and potatoes to mix.

  • Pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil. Then simmer until the turkey meat turns tender.

  • Stir in yoghurt and continue to cook for another 4 minutes.

  • Add petai and seasoning to taste.

  • Dish out and serve hot.
