Pork Satay Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 6

500 g

1 strip


1 tablespoon

1-2 tablespoons

2 teaspoons

1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

1/4 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

1 teaspoon

2 tablespoons

Pork fillet

Lemon rind

Medium size onions, chopped roughly

Light soy sauce

Cooking oil

Ground cilantro

Ground cumin

Ground turmeric

Ground cinnamon



Roasted peanuts

Method :
  • Cut the pork into cubes, the size of your finger tip.

  • Add the lemon rind, onions, soy sauce and 1 tablespoon cooking oil into a container of the electric blender.

  • Blend ingredients until the paste is smooth.

  • Then add the remaining ingredients and blend for a few seconds longer.

  • If necessary, add the remaining tablespoon of oil to draw ingredients down over the blades.

  • Pour the blended mixture over the meat, mix well and marinate for at least 1 hour.

  • Using a bamboo skewers, thread about 6 pieces of the meat to a skewer until the halfway up the skewer.

  • Grill under a preheated griller or over a glowing coals until meat is just cooked.

  • Serve with satay peanut sauce.
