Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce Recipe

(Sate Ayam Madura)

Ingredients :

400 g chicken

2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

1 tablespoon margarine, melted

Sliced tomato

Sliced shallots


Peanut Sauce

100 g peanuts, roasted and ground

2 red chilies, ground

5 bird's eye chilies, ground

50 cc sweet soy sauce

3 shallots, sliced finely

1 tablespoon lime juice


Method :

Soak the satay skewers in water. Cut the chicken 1 x 2 cm pieces and thread 4-5 pieces of the chicken onto a satay skewers. Mix the sweet soy sauce and melted margarine. Dip each skewer in this sauce until the meat is covered completely with the mixture. Grill until it turned golden brown. Turn the skewers frequently for even cooking. Serve with peanut sauce, tomato and shallots. To make the peanut sauce, just combine all the ingredient for peanut sauce. Serve as a dip for the chicken satay.
