White Marrow Fried in Batter Recipe

Ingredients :

3 cups sliced marrow, peeled and seeds removed

1 clove garlic, crushed

1/2 cup chick pea flour

1/2 cup self-rising flour

Salt to taste

1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated finely

1/4 teaspoon turmeric, ground

1/2 cup water

Oil for deep frying


Method :

Cut the marrow into slices about 1 cm thick. Heat the wok with oil. Dip the marrow sliced in batter and fry in the oil one at a time. Do not fry too many pices at a time. When it turned golden, remove from the oil and drain on the absorbent paper. Serve immediately while hot. This can be served as a snack between meals.
