Mackerel Pate Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 4

225 g/8 oz smoked mackerel fillet, skinned
Juice of 1/2 lemon
50 g/2 oz butter or margarine, melted
45 ml/3 tbsp soured (dairy sour) cream

Freshly ground black pepper
Crudites or savory biscuits (crackers), to serve

Method :

Flake the mackerel into small pieces and puree in a food processor or blender with the lemon juice, melted butter or margarine and soured cream. Season to taste with pepper, then turn into a serving dish and chill before serving with crudites or savory biscuits.
