Hummus Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 4

400 g/14 oz/1 large can of chick peas (garbanzos), drained
1 onion, very finely chopped

1 garlic clove, chopped
150 ml plain yoghurt
10 ml/2 tsp lemon juice

15 ml/1 tbsp olive oil
2.5 ml/0.5 tsp ground cumin
Salt and freshly ground black pepper Pitta or crusty bread, to serve

Method :

Place the chick peas, onion and garlic in a food processor or blender and process until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper, and process again until well mixed. Turn into a serving bowl, cover and chill overnight before serving with pitta or crusty bread.
