Steamed White Rice Recipe

Ingredients : Serves 6-8 |
|
500 g (1 lb) long grain rice
3 cups water |
|
Method :
If rice needs washing, wash well then allow to drain in a colander. Put
rice into saucepan with the 3 cups water and bring to the boil. Lower heat
to medium and cook uncovered until water is absorbed and holes appear on
surface of rice mass. Remove from heat, scoop rice into a steamer or
colander and steam over fast boiling water for 25-30 minutes. Grains will
be firm and separate.
