Steamed White Rice Recipe

Ingredients :

500 g long grain rice

3 cups water

 

Method :

Wash the rice well in a colander and then allow to drain. Heat up a saucepan with 3 cups of water and the rice before bring to the boil. Lower heat to moderate and cook uncovered without a lid until the water is absorbed and many small holes appearing on surface of cooked rice. Remove from heat, scoop rice into a steamer or colander and steam over fast boiling water for about 30 minutes. Grains should be firm and separate.
