Spicy Hot Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients :

400 g

1 teaspoon

3 tablespoons

1/2 cup


Ingredients - A

3/4 teaspoon

2 stalks




Ingredients - B

3 tablespoons

1 tablespoon

1/2 teaspoon

3 cloves



Pinch of salt to taste

Large shrimp

Turmeric powder

Cooking oil

Lime juice

Pinch of salt


Mustard seeds

Curry leaves

Bombay onion, halved and sliced finely

Tomato, quartered



Chili paste

cilantro powder

Fenugreek powder

Garlic,  pounded

Method :
  • Toss the shrimp in salt and turmeric powder and set aside.

  • Combine ingredients B into a paste with a little water.

  • Heat oil and fry ingredients A until fragrant then add in ingredients B and lime juice.

  • Add shrimp and seasoning to taste and simmer until gravy turns fairly dry.

  • Serve with a garnishing of chopped cilantro leaves.
