Salted Fish Acar Recipe

Small salted fish, rinsed and deep fried

Cucumber, seeded

Red chilies, seeded

Green chilies, seeded

Sugar

White vinegar

 

 

Shallots

Garlic

Coriander seeds powder

Candlenuts

Dried chilies, soaked in hot water

and drain

Method :
  • Cut cucumber, red and green chilies into strips.

  • Add 1 tablespoon salt and marinate for 30 minutes.

  • Rinse and drain.

  • Heat 1/2 cup oil.

  • Stir fry blended ingredients until fragrant.

  • Add vinegar and sugar. Bring to a boil.

  • Stir in cucumber, red and green chilies and the salted fish.

  • Leave it to cool.

  • Serve with steamed white rice.
