Barbecued Meat Recipe

(Goa Style)

Ingredients :

Boneless mutton, beef or pork

Butter or oil for basting


Coriander leaves

Mint leaves

Small onion, chopped

Garlic paste

Ginger paste

Green chili paste

Garam masala powder


Turmeric powder

Powdered cashew nuts

Tamarind pulp or lime juice



Chopped mint leaves

Method :
  • Wash meat, pat dry and cut into 5 cm cubes.

  • Grind ingredients for marinade to a smooth paste.

  • Mix in meat and marinate for 6-8 hours.

  • Barbecue meat over a charcoal fire or grill in an electric grill preheated to 220oC for 4-5 minutes, basting with butter or oil.

  • You can also shallow fry the meat in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat till brown.

  • Garnish with mint leaves and serve.
