Ingredients : Serves 4
50 g/2 oz/0.5 cup plain (semi-sweet) chocolate
30 ml/2 tbsp water
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar
2.5 ml/0.5 tsp vanilla essence (extract)
600 ml/1 pt/2.5 cups double (heavy) cream, whipped
25 g/1 oz/0.25 cup flaked (slivered) almonds, toasted
Melt the chocolate and water over a low heat. Stir in the sugar and
vanilla essence and leave to cool slightly.
Fold in the whipped cream, turn into a serving dish and chill for at least
4 hours. Sprinkle with the almonds before serving.
